Tensor™ Extreme Conditions represents a new chapter in NEMO backcountry pad innovation. With its Apex™ baffle internal structure, Tensor EC toasts the competition, achieving an 8.5 R-value and a mind-bending warmth-to-weight ratio. Now the warmest, most insulating ultralight pad on the market.
Using distinctly shaped baffles, the Apex™ design evenly suspends a record four layers of insulating Thermal Mirror™ film inside the pad. The strategic placement and number of layers combine to produce incredible warmth at as little as one pound, making this pad a winter-worthy companion that won’t weigh you down. Just as important, the floating construction prevents annoying crinkling noises so you and your camp partners can sleep soundly even on the most restless nights. Warmth, quiet, and 3.5 inches of stable cushioning together make Tensor synonymous with comfort.
Tensor Extreme Conditions ushers in improved puncture-resistance and strength with a 40D nylon bottom to protect the pad from tougher terrain. Meanwhile, the premium 20D nylon top offers a soft, lightweight sleep surface. The pad’s Laylow™ valve also gets a polish, removing unnecessary elements and significantly improving the performance and ease of use in all conditions — especially colder temperatures. Plus, it still effortlessly pairs with the Vortex™ pump sack to inflate in under a minute, without introducing excess moisture into the pad.

Tried A LOT of different pads. Compared this to my zen bivy flex and the Sea to Summit XR. Safe to say if you want one sleeping matt to just do it all, the Tensor Extreme is the one to go for. Much warmer and quieter than the sea to summit, and pretty close to the comfort of the Zenbivy, and while it may not have the 4 way stretch material, it does make up for it by having really good height. I let quite a chunk of air out and got it to a lovely ‘sweet spot’. Waaaay more comfortable than my old Thermarest NeoAir All Seasons. You Can’t go wrong with this one
The mat was a good price. Arrived quick. Is great quality mat, much bigger and comfier than my last one and not too much in pack, or heavier.
We had 2 x Thermarest Neoair XLite Nxt sleeping mats and recently upgraded to 2 x Nemo Tensor Extreme Insulated Sleeping Pads. We LOVE the Nemo Tensor Extremes! No more crinkle sounds every time either of us move and the rectangular shape means we aren’t sliding off the mat. The Nemo mats are so warm and comfortable, we highly recommend.
Product exactly as described, at a good price and delivered promptly. Great service!
Great product, love it. Easy to inflate and deflate. Perfect for a side sleeper too.
Fantastic purchase. Snow and extreme cold on the June long weekend in Namadgi, would freeze the nuts off a tractor. This mattress stopped that freeze coming up from the ground and I stayed warm. Highly recommend.
Also a huge shoutout to Ultralight Hiker for their super quick order processing in every order I’ve made. Not many places will have your order to you in 2 days.
