I first stumbled across Brendan on Reddit. A mad ultralight wizard hand-crafting carbon fiber tent stakes in his garage and claiming they were the lightest on earth. Bold claim. Naturally, I bought one of his very first prototypes to see if he was full of magic or full of it.
After the set he sent me, the prototyping snowballed. Brendan tested batch after batch, eventually taking the final pre-production version on an extended trek through the Peruvian Andes. After he came back he messaged me saying, “I’ve got twenty batches ready to go.” I nearly choked on my instant mashed potatoes.

Been using these ever since they were sold only on Reddit!! Got to test them out on the Huayhuash Alpine trek in Peru last fall. They work great at high altitude in rocky and mixed soil types. I couldn’t imagine using anything else backpacking to be honest.
