Description

These pre-loaded drip filters deliver cafe-quality coffee anywhere without the need for a machine, grinder, or cleanup. Each individually sealed filter is packed with 14 g of specialty-grade ground coffee in your choice of roast, so you can brew a fresh cup on the go. Simply hang the filter on your mug, pour hot water through, and enjoy a proper coffee in minutes at camp, on the road, or at your desk.

Red Stag:

  • Red Stag is our signature medium roast. Like your trusty .308 - it's proven, reliable and versatile. This is a super smooth, medium bodied coffee with a strong but well balanced flavour profile.
  • We recommend brewing as a black filter coffee or espresso to really taste the flavour of the coffee. Goes well with milk too which rounds it out for that extra silky mouthfeel.

Sambar:

  • Sambar is our heavy-hitting dark roast. This is the .50cal of the coffee world. Full-bodied with a bold flavour, it's perfect for those who like a little more oomph in their coffee. We prefer this one as a milk based espresso to round out some of the bitterness. If you're a true savage, brewing this one with the Zero Press will give you a caffeinated throat punch that'll put hair on your chest and have you swinging from the trees.

Full Send:

  • Full Send is a rich and super smooth brew with bold notes of chocolates and nuts balanced with some caramel sweetness. It's punchier than our Red Stag roast but without the bitterness of our Sambar roast.
  • As an espresso with milk you'll notice the chocolate cutting through really well. As a long black, it's got a good kick but takes on more of a nutty profile.

Black Death:

  • Inspired by the African (Cape) Buffalo, an animal so dangerous that someone had to make it even scarier by giving it the nickname, "Black Death".
  • We've taken two of our finest, tastiest beans from South America and then, (to the horror of every specialty-coffee producer ever) roasted them to oblivion.

How to Brew

Brewing a cafe-quality coffee anywhere your adventures take you is simple.

  1. Remove the Pre-Loaded Drip Filter from its packet
  2. Rip the top off the filter at the "open here" line
  3. Extend the hanging arms on the side of the drip filter
  4. Use the hanging arms to secure the drip filter to your mug
  5. (Optional) Pour enough hot (not boiling) water to soak the beans without dripping through. Wait 30 seconds. This is called the "bloom" and helps the coffee release some less-than-tasty gases so they don't go into your cup.
  6. Pour your hot water over the coffee, filling to the top of the filter (don't allow it to spill over).
  7. Allow the water to drain through and then repeat the process 3-4 times.
  8. Remove the filter from the cup (steeping will make a stronger coffee but leaving for too long will make the brew bitter). Dispose of the filter and packaging appropriately - do not leave in the bush.
  9. Enjoy your brew!
