Which model suits your trip?

Semi-freestanding tents

Hornet OSMO — Low weight with more space than the Elite

A lightweight option for walkers who want to trim pack weight while keeping two doors and separate gear storage.

Hornet Elite OSMO — Lowest packed weight in this comparison

The lightest tent in this comparison, with a lower peak and a smaller floor area than the standard Hornet.

Mayfly OSMO — Durable 68D floor

A durability-focused option with a robust 68D floor, an OSMO fly and generous peak height.

Freestanding tents

Dragonfly OSMO — Freestanding structure with a tapered floor

A balance of carrying weight and interior space, with a freestanding inner and more peak height than either Hornet.

Dagger OSMO — Largest floor area and a rectangular floor

The roomiest floor in this comparison. Its full-width foot end and large vestibules favour comfort and gear storage, with more weight to carry.

Make sense of the specifications

Headroom: peak height is the tallest point inside the tent. Pole shape and wall angles also affect how much room you have to sit up; the height figure alone does not describe the whole interior.

Freestanding or semi-freestanding: a freestanding inner holds its floor shape with its poles. A semi-freestanding inner needs some corners pegged out to reach its intended shape. Both designs should be securely pegged and guyed out, including the fly and vestibules.

Minimum and packed weight: minimum weight is the lighter quoted tent configuration; packed weight is the fuller carrying figure. Included items can vary by model, so use packed weight as your starting point when planning your load.

Waterhead: the rating in millimetres describes a fabric's resistance to water pressure. It is a fabric rating, and does not measure wind resistance or replace correct pitching and care.
