This unit is Iridium® based, giving you global coverage for extending your adventures beyond mobile coverage. The ZOLEO device is connected via a smartphone app and requires an active subscription plan. Including its own SMS number and email for sharing with your contacts via the check-in button, let loved ones know your status with the option to send GPS coordinates too. The SOS button enables users to send their GPS coordinates to their monitoring/dispatch partner, with confirmation it was received and the option to cancel in the case of a false alarm. This compact and lightweight unit is also shock and dust-resistant, with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that lasts for 200+ hours.
