The ThruBottle is the result of multiple years of design, testing, and refinement. The final product is a patent-pending, one liter bottle that’s lightweight, slim, and safe to use over the course of a long hike. Designed with ultralight backpackers in mind, it's constructed from safe, durable materials intended for long-term use - even through long periods of sun exposure and rough conditions.
The ThruBottle utilizes the same universal thread as the Vecto, ensuring it's 28mm neck will be compatible with a wide range of 28mm filters.

CNOC ThruBottle 1L 28mm Bottle
I still prefer Smart Water bottles for their flexibility (handy for backwashing filters), relative longevity and price but they're not good plastic so this environmentally conscious, hopefully safer thru hiker bottle is a good compromise. The dimensions are similar, it has the right thread for Sawyer Squeeze and Platypus Quick Draw Filters and the added bottle cap secure attachment and another anchor point could prove handy. However, I want to see the content of my filtered water and know how much I have left. This milky plastic doesn't have that transparency. Still, I'll give the bottles a try for the sake of the environment and my health. It's a step in the right direction.
