Maurten GEL 100 is a unique biopolymer matrix, made with an equally unique blend of fructose and glucose (0.8:1). This formulation enables uptakes of up to 100g of carbohydrates per hour. It instantly converts to hydrogel in the stomach and allows a smooth journey through the stomach to the intestine, where water, salt and carbohydrates are absorbed. The Hydrogel Technology creates a firmer structure ,not a runny syrup like traditional energy gels, so it's easier to consume during the race.
