The 3F UL GEAR Ultra Lightweight Tarp Poncho in 15D nylon fabric protects you and your pack from bad weather and can also be used as a small tarp/ground sheet.
It’s an extra measure of protection from the rain compared to a raincoat, which prevents it from getting wet during long walks in the rain.
It can also be used as a remedy when the raincoat fails. In addition, it does not take up much weight and volume of your backpack because it works as a footprint.
The poncho with sleeve cannot be used as a tarp or footprint.
NOTE:
This is a well sewn poncho. Unlike other ponchos I’ve had this one has thoughtful & useful hook & ring fasteners in the bottom corners & a strip of velcro along each side as well the cross strap seen in the picture.
All of that extra will get a cover over you & your rucksack that is less likely to flap in wind (which is the bane of pomchos imo).
