I loved my Osprey Ariel 65L and I was very reluctant to change it but I needed a lighter pack in any way I could. After much consideration and comparison I purchased the Neve Wallaroo 50L for my 8 week trip around South America. My total packed weight was 14kg plus a small 5kg carry on pack. I loved the way the pack could be rolled down for a smaller pack 8kg which I used for hiking the Salkantay and W-trek.
It was comfy even on 25km days but to be honest that wasn't carrying the heavier weight but I'm about to try that next. I did lose a little clasp on my chest strap but Ryan was very kind and efficient in replacing it for me.

Handy lightweight pouch and well made. Mine has "Dark Moon Hiking" label not UltralightGear label. But made in Australia which is nice. Bought a few other things as well. Very fast postage - as fast as amazon!
Another great offering from HMG - as an owner of a number of their packs and other gear I rate this pack as one of their finest designs- packs a lot more then at first appears, great harness and very versatile- worth the investment
