You will need to use a brad-point drill to put a neat 1\/2\" (12.7mm) hole (for the grommet and tube) and a 1\/4\" (6.35mm) hole in your lid. The seating grooves in the grommet and one-way valve are about 1\/16\" (1.6mm wide).\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp data-rte-preserve-empty=\"true\"\u003eIf you've drilled neat holes (this might require several attempts) and seated the grommet and duckbill valve correctly you can then just push the silicone tube into the grommet and adjust the length appropriately.
